Demo: Dwarfcraft Memento

Dwarfcraft has always built wild and adventurous pedals. Their Memento killswitch/stutter pedal is just as nuts as their famous bit-crunching, sequencing, pitch-shifting Pitchgrinder, and their ring-modulating, power-starving Hax! And if you know us, we're all about being adventurous.

Memento Version 1

Ben, from Dwarfcraft, came through 5starr Sound Labs while in town for the 2014 NAMM show to give us an exclusive on this pedal.  Armed with only a kill switch (which is only active when pressed), and a recall switch (which plays back the kill switch’s pattern), the Memento is essentially a gated pattern effect that allows you to make up your own patterns on the spot.

Memento Version 2

The Memento has since be refined and rehoused in a much smaller enclosure. The version 2 was featured prominently in our Killswitch Wars and I love it now just as much as I did when I first got to try it out. Dwarfcraft creates pedals that are outside of the box. Even better is that their effects encourage the user to think outside of the box, resulting in progression and evolution.

The ability to transform like a DJ has always appealed to me, and now with this pedal you can do so much of that with a box at your feet, instead of with the pick up switch on your instrument.  It is one funky pedal and I am going to use it to the fullest extreme!
