Alessandro Cortini comes through Pedals And Effects again to review another wild effects pedal! This time it’s the Seppuku FX Kompakt Kaset delay! This is a wild pedal that Alessandro describes as producing sounds that resemble a broken channel on a 4 track cassette recorder. Alessandro is an absolute sonic genius, and he manages to finds pedals that I have been unable to locate and is willing to share them with us.Read More
Today’s Show Me Your Pedalboard entry comes from Ivan all the way from Croatia! Wow! Ivan plays under the name Luul which is a solo-looping project of his that, in his words takes after artists like Mylets. Very cool. Ivan’s board is very indicative of looping which also covers all of his sonic bases.Read More
Coming hot off the heels of the NAMM show we got the second part of our series with synthesizer guru Alessandro Cortini! Here we go with Pedals And Effects Top Ten Pedals for 2015 and this year came with some radical sounds! As the boutique pedal dominance continues in the industry, a couple of the big guys managed to come up with some over the top pedals. I added a couple of reliable handy man tools, like the Hotone sampler, and the Keith McMillen MIDI controller but overall, wildness reigns king here at Pedals And Effects!Read More
Today’s Show Me Your Pedalboard entry comes from bass player Tony! Tony is rocking an incredibly modest, but colorful board. These tiny boards are phenomenal for traveling with, especially when you have to deal with public transportation, going from venue to venue, or even if you’re just biking around town. These boards can fit into your backpack which makes it easy to get through airports, especially with TSA these days. Sheesh. Sometimes it’s best to leave the kitchen sink at home and work with the essentials. Let your instrument and your amp do all the heavy lifting, there’s also way less signal degradation if you’re into that sort of thing. Anyways! Let’s take a look at what Tony is rocking out with:Read More
It’s always great to look back to when Pedals And Effects was just getting started. When it was just me in a room with a camera (more often than not it was my iPhone, 5starr Sound Labs was so empty back then!). Back when I was still trying to figure out what type of videos I wanted to make and how I wanted to demonstrate each effect, I had shot this video as a means to introduce and tease some upcoming pedal reviews. It worked back then for the time, but I definitely prefer how we do our review videos nowadays.
Nick Reinhart is one lucky musician because he has such generous fans and friends who hand him free DOD pedals! Pedals And Effects are huge fans of the old DOD pedals from the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s and, of course, the new updated DOD versions. Well, when someone is given pedals as gifts, we feel obligated to at least do a video featuring the pedals, so here are DOD’S FX58 Metal Maniac and FX59 Thrash Master distortions!Read More
